Jean-Paul Riopelle, 1923-2002:Canadian abstract expressionist painter who produced most of his work in postwar France. His works appear in New York City's Museum of Modern Art and London's Tate Gallery. He was the first Canadian to win an award at the Venice Biennale, in 1962.[Bio | Work]
